Description
We’ll meet at James Bourchier metro station (Zlaten Rog exit), just next to Hotel Marinela. From there, we’ll take a short walk to my nearby home. Along the way, I’ll share stories about Sofia’s neighborhoods and daily life. At the apartment—a cozy, top-floor home with a beautiful view of the city and Mount Vitosha—you’ll be welcomed into a traditional Bulgarian kitchen. Together, we’ll prepare banitsa from scratch: a delicious filo pastry filled with eggs, cheese, and yogurt. As your banitsa bakes in the oven, I’ll serve a platter of local cheeses and cured meats, along with a glass of boutique Bulgarian wine. This is your chance to relax on the balcony, ask questions, and discover more about Bulgarian food culture. By the end of our session, you’ll take home your homemade banitsa—or enjoy it warm on the spot. You’ll leave with a new skill, full stomach, and a taste of true Bulgarian hospitality. This is a home-hosted experience, not a professional cooking school—perfect for travelers who want to connect with local people in an authentic way.Includes
