Zlatna Kotva
Bulgaria
Zlatna Kotva (translates Golden Anchor) is the oldest functioning restaurant in Burgas. It opened in 1927 and is located in one of the poshest areas of town – at the end of Bogoridi street opposite the entrance of the emblematic Sea Garden.
The restaurant is situated on 2 floors – first floor seats 40 and the second floor seats 70. There is a spacious open garden that seats 110 and a secluded richly decorated ‘Captain’s Hall’ which seats 14 and is traditionally booked by smaller private and corporate parties.
Regardless of the numerous renovations through the years, Zlatna Kotva has managed to preserve the original navy and marine interior theme which is maintained by the presence of dark wood panels, solid old time furniture and various antique details.
The menu features a list of traditional Bulgarian dishes and a wide variety of fish and seafood. Zlatna Kotva has been known for years as a place where one can order fresh fish from the Black Sea. Nowadays the menu has expanded with specialties from the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.
Zlatna Kotva is opened Monday to Sunday from 10:00 till midnight, has Wi Fi and a children’s corner and live music in the evenings.
