Throughout its over 120 years old history, Varna Archaelogical Museum has carried out numerous excavation and research works mainly in the northeast of Bulgaria. The Museum's current collection features more than 100 000 objects some of which extremely valuable and of international importance.
Varna Archaelogical Museum is located in the center of Varna in a beautiful late-Baroque style building of the former Girls' School. It is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 till 17:00 in winter. In summer it works on Sundays too.
