The Valley of the Thracian Kings, also called the Valley of the Roses due to its rose oil production, was the burial site for Thracian nobility. Explore the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak, a UNESCO World Heritage site dating from the end of the 4th century BC, renowned for its well-preserved frescoes.
Next, visit the Tomb of Seuthes III, also known as the Golyama Kosmatka mound. This 5th century BC tomb has three chambers and a corridor, containing many valuable artifacts and artworks, ranking among the richest Thracian burials discovered.
The final stop is the Ostrusha tomb from the 4th century BC, noted for its unique ceiling combining relief work and fine decorations, including portraits, colorful figures, and floral motifs.
