Sakar Hills is a modern campsite built about 80 km south of Stara Zagora and close to the border with Turkey and Greece. The campsite stands 1 km before the village of Biser, a small village in the South of Bulgaria which sadly hit the news a couple of years ago when heavy floods caused some houses destruction. The area is now regenerating and Sakar Hills has been an active contributor.
The campsite offers accommodation in a 2 bedroom self-catering apartment and a spacious lot with pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. The location is ideal for a stop-over for those crossing Bulgaria on the way to Turkey or Greece as well as for those who wish to explore more closely Sakar and the Rhodope mountains. Sakar Hills organizes trips to Turkey and Greece and various tours in the area such as archeological tours (choose between the Holy City of Perperikon, the Castra Rubra Roman Fort dig, Thracian tombs, rock dolmens and more), visits to vineries and wine tasting (Sakar mountain region is famous for its good wines), off road adventures, BBQs, parties, karaoke and more.
