Camping in Bulgaria is a tradition. There are many campsites which for years have been attracting local and international tourists who prefer to spend their holiday 'under the stars'.
The biggest number of campsites can be found on the South Black Sea coast in secluded bays and ancient woods, close to some of the most beautiful Bulgarian beaches. The north coast offers some good camping spots too and the inside of the country has enjoyed a refreshing rise in camping accommodation options in the recent years. This is mainly due to the rebirth of mountain tourism as well as the building of some new mountain, lake and dam resorts. Alongside the traditional tent and caravan pitches, campsites in Bulgaria offer accommodation in 'bungalows' and low-rise hotels. Bungalows can be as small as to fit 2 beds and your bags only and facilities are shared on the campsite. There are deluxe bungalows though which have private facilities and all the modern amenities, including AC and kitchen corners. See our list of selected campsites and select the one which best suits you.
