Bitburger Club

Bulgaria

International

Bitburger Club is one of the most authentic German spots one will ever find in Bulgaria. It is located at the very heart of Sofia, the country's capital, just a couple of minutes away from the famous open-air book market on Slaveykov Square, and it is the only ale house in the city that serves fine German draught beer.

The restaurant is spacious and well-lit and can hold over 200 people. Its interior is greatly inspired by Wilhelm Okesson, chief designer of the Bitburger Brewery (Germany), and his love for high-quality natural materials. All the tables and chairs are made of massive wood and have the Bitburger logo on. The specially drawn paintings on the walls mix together perfectly with the pictures of old German breweries and the photographs donated by guests to make the atmosphere inside the restaurant even more pleasant.

The club's fancy bar is situated in the main hall. Its comfortable tall stools are quite inviting, especially if you are up for an exotic cocktail or a refreshing pint of beer. The beer garden in the restaurant's courtyard is open for clients from late spring up until the beginning of winter. It is cosy and snug and is well equipped with huge wooden tables, a beautiful gazebo and lots of pillows for extra comfort. Oh, and let's not forget the atmospheric lanterns that are lit at dusk. In summer, we prefer to kick back in Bitburger Club's lovely garden with a pint of Erdinger Draught and a nice portion of delicious German sausages. But even if this is not your favourite beer-food combination, you don't have to worry about anything, because the place offers a stunning variety of original German draught beers and mouthwatering appetizers that will certainly get your attention.

Bitburger Club is quite famous for the great live music shows it hosts. The keen dancers and music lovers can check out the club's programme for upcoming live music shows. Every week some of the best Bulgarian bands, singers and musicians play gigs there and party together with the guests. The club also specialises in organising DJ parties and many special events, including Fasching Carnival, Halloween, Octoberfest, Rockfest, and New Year's Eve parties. In case you want to attend any of these, it is better to make reservations beforehand, as they are quite popular and the place fills up quickly. No reservations are required during the rest of the time, unless you want to book the best table in the garden for a relaxing summer dinner, of course. Oh yes, there are also several large screen TVs scattered all over the club that show all the interesting football matches and sports events.

The restaurant's menu is varied and exciting, combining typical Bulgarian dishes with popular German and international meals... and lots and lots of frothy beer, of course.

Bitburger Club is one of the most pleasant restaurants in Sofia where you can meet your friends, drink a pint or two, get a plate of tasty nibbles and listen to some good music.
