Izbata (The Cellar) is a remarkable wining and dining establishment in the heart of Sofia. It is located in the trendy Lozenets district and features a charming garden which is like a little oasis amidst the urban jungle. The menu features dishes, cooked with a variety of European and tailor-made recipes, some experimental yet suited to meet the requirements of even the fussiest customers. Ingredients used are fresh, organic where possible - Izbata claim they do use no convenience foods! The wine list comprises of local wines only - a good choice and number of Bulgarian wines promotes the taste and quality of the local produce. Izbata boasts bright colors, clean lines and relaxing atmosphere, which combined with the excellent food and professional service, have been attracting experts and visitors for more than 12 years now.
