Crystal Palace Restaurant
Bulgaria
Crystal Palace Restaurant, an inseparable part of the amazing four-star Crystal Palace Boutique Hotel, can be found on the corner of Shipka Street and Krakra Street... or in other words, the nicest part of the Sofia City centre and just across from the cosy, newly renovated Doktorska Gradina (Doctors' Garden). The Restaurant's incredible interior design, culinary temptations, pleasant atmosphere, and discreet service make it one of the classiest and most popular places to dine in the Bulgarian capital.
The exquisitely furnished, Baroque-influenced main room and business lounge of the restaurant are charged with positive energy and boast a special festive spirit that makes the place suitable not only for quick business breakfasts and lunches and formal dinners but also for a wide variety of events such as wine tastings, weddings, corporate parties, proms, etc. Their combined seating capacity is 110 people. But this isn't all, of course. In spring and summer the guests of Crystal Palace can also enjoy the cool comfort of the restaurant's neat garden for forty.
Food-wise things are just as impressive... naturally. The main gastronomic emphasis here is on international cuisine and healthy meals. Petar Tsvetanski, the restaurant's chef, knows everything about cooking and has prepared a whole bag of mouthwatering surprises for you, ranging from thematic days and evenings to seasonal menus. Mondays, for example, are dedicated to grilled dishes. On Wednesdays the focus shifts to fish specialties, whereas Fridays are all about beef. One can also take advantage of the enticing lunch offers available every workday or simply indulge themselves in Crystal Palace's lovely weekend menus. This feast is garnished with an excellent wine selection, impeccable service and magic live music sessions.
As was said at the very beginning of this review, Crystal Palace has a perfect location and is thus easily accessible from virtually any direction. The guests of the restaurant can either take advantage of the hotel's underground garage or opt to park their cars in the street. They should keep in mind, however, that between 8 am and 7 pm on workdays, parking in this area is forbidden unless you pay BGN 1 for every hour of your stay with a four-hour limit.
