Mixtape 5 Club is a relatively new boutique music club which offers extensive space (the bigger hall has a capacity of 800 people), minimalist interior design and one of the best sound systems in Sofia..
The place is spreading on 2 levels. The first level features a parquet floor dancing stage and the raised platforms on the side hold the bars. The DJ booth is in the centre and there is plenty of space to dance or move around. The light wooden furniture, though somewhat unusual for a night club, brings in a great ambience of creativity and ingenuity.
Mixtape 5 was originally set up as a new Party Center in Sofia, that is, it would open only when there is an event. Nowadays, however, they are working nearly every night - check their Facebook page and bear in mind that they do not take reservations. Most events are free admission and the ones with tickets are very reasonably priced.
Alongside the DJ parties and concerts, art and dance classes, mixed and friendly atmosphere, the club also offers free WiFi and wardrobe facilities, and bicycle parking racks at the front.
Mixtape 5 benefits from a top central location, in a subway in the NDK (National Palace of Culture) area, from the side of the
Hilton hotel. It is easily accessed on foot, by public transport, car or bicycle.
