Neolithic Dwellings
Bulgaria
The Neolithic Dwellings Museum was built around 2 well preserved Neolithic dwellings dating back to 6000 B.C. Visitors can see remains of kitchens, fireplaces, ceramic vessels and other artifacts which create one of the richest exhibition of prehistoric house life in Europe.
The Neolithic Dwellings Museum is located in the western part of Stara Zagora near the Medical College and about 5 minutes drive from the Railway Station. There is a parking lot, a guide and a souvenir shop. The most popular exposition is in the basement, where you can see wonderful masterpieces of pottery, jewelry, sculptures, tools and ornaments created by an ancient civilization that used to inhabit these lands 8 thousands years ago.
