National Archaeological Museum

The National Archeological Museum is situated in the heart of the city in a former mosque, one of the oldest buildings in Sofia. The Museum is devoted to the study, exhibit and interpretation of human occupation in these parts of the world from Prehistoric times through the Middle Ages.
Open daily from 10:00 till 18:00 during summer and closing on Mondays and an hour earlier in winter, it offers free admission to visitors each last Sunday of the month. There are special discounts for families, students, groups, senior citizens, etc. - check their website for more detailed information.
Guided tours in Bulgarian and English are available at extra charge.
