Earth and Man Museum in Sofia houses many unique gigantic crystals, cave pearls, thousands of specimens of minerals, rocks, ores and fossils as well as hundreds of thin sections and structural models. Free extracurricular studies of geology and mineralogy for school children is available as well including a geology corner for kids and grown-ups - and this is only a portion of what the Earth and Man Museum in Sofia offers.
Open Tuesday - Sunday from 10:00 till 18:00. Discounts apply for groups, students, families and senior citizens. Free admission on selected dates and holidays - check the museum's program calendar for details.
The Museum runs various educational programs and projects; the Geology Corner for Kids and Grown-Ups is one of the most popular. Accompanied and supervised by adults and volunteers, kids explore, experiment, learn, create and become closer to Mother Nature - a memorable experience in a hectic urban environment.
