Description

Starting early morning 7.30am and in 2 hours we arive in Rila Mountain where the trail to Malyovitsa Peak starts. There are a many options for hiking in the area, but this are the most famous ones : Malyovitsa Summit, Dredful Lake and Ionchevo Lake. Hiking to Malyovitsa Peak in the northwestern part of the Rila Mountain. It is 2,729 m high and is one of the most popular mountain tourist regions in Bulgaria. Its northern and eastern slopes are steep and almost inaccessible while the southern and south-western slopes are more oblique. Тhe elevation of the hike is about 1000m which makes it really challenging for hikers with less expirience and physical endurance. The total lengh of the hike is about 13km - both ways and takes about 8 hours. Ariving about 9:30am and leaving at 7.30pm gives enough time for the hike. The trail itself is easy to follow all the way to the peak. There are a few small restaurants in the area and the Malyovitsa Hut. In addition to the breathtaking vistas along the trail, hikers may encounter diverse flora and fauna, including rare alpine flowers and elusive mountain wildlife. As you ascend to the summit, keep an eye out for the iconic silhouette of Malyovitsa Peak, a symbol of Bulgaria's rich alpine and mounteneering history. Whether you're an experienced mountaineer seeking a challenge or a nature enthusiast yearning for exploration, Malyovitsa offers an unforgettable outdoor experience for all adventurers. Ionchevo lake - Dreadful lake 2451m - Maylovitsa hut is a great option for a hike in the area. The elevation of the hike is about 750m, 11.5km in lengh and takes about 7h for the round way. The hike surrounds you by the peaks of the mountain range, past glaciel lakes and takes you in front of the spectacular Malyovitsa summit. After the long day about 9 hours in the area we meet about 7pm and head back to Sofia.
