Description
Your experience starts promptly at 17:30 at Saint Nedelya Church, a central Sofia landmark. Learn about the church’s reconstruction after the 1925 bombing, Bulgaria's deadliest modern terrorist attack, and its historical significance.
You then explore the Roman archaeological site of Serdica, including the 4th-century Rotunda of Saint George, Sofia’s oldest preserved building. The tour highlights the 'Triangle of Power,' where modern government buildings overlay the ancient ruins, representing Sofia's layered history.
The route continues past the National Assembly and Sofia University, focusing on Bulgaria’s intellectual rebirth and the founding of its first university in 1888.
Next, you enter Boris’ Garden (Borisova Gradina), Sofia’s oldest and largest park, established in the 1880s as a space for recreation and learning.
