Description
This unique tour offers an immersive day in ancient Bulgarian forests accompanied by Dobrin, a mycologist and natural storyteller. Explore the forest to find wild mushrooms, medicinal herbs, edible plants, orchids, various oak species, and uncommon fungi.
Dobrin prepares a gourmet meal on-site using the fresh ingredients you gather, such as polenta with wild mushrooms and homemade goat cheese, herb-seasoned bread, and wild garlic pesto. Each meal reflects the season’s bounty—autumn features porcini, chanterelles, and boletes, while spring offers wildflowers and fresh herbs.
This is not a conventional guided tour: it has no fixed route or script, and you will spend the day with Dobrin and a small group of up to 8 people. Hotel pickup and return are included, making it convenient and accessible. Guests range in age from 8 to 75, reflecting the activity’s broad appeal.
