Description
Start your guided hike from the Malyovitsa area, one of the most famous mountain regions in the Rila Mountains. The trail first leads through a scenic valley towards Malyovitsa Hut, where we will take a short break before continuing higher into the mountain. After the hut, the route becomes steeper and more alpine. We will continue through the Malyovitsa valley and reach the beautiful Elenino Lake, a high-mountain glacial lake located below the impressive slopes of Malyovitsa. This is a great place for a short rest, photos, and enjoying the peaceful alpine scenery. From Elenino Lake, the trail continues towards the upper part of the route, with rocky sections, open mountain slopes, and increasingly wide views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. The final part of the hike leads to Malyovitsa Peak, standing at 2,729 meters above sea level. From the summit, you will enjoy panoramic views of the Rila Mountains and some of Bulgaria’s most iconic alpine scenery. After a break for photos, rest, and enjoying the views, we will descend back along the same route to the starting point.Includes
