Description
The tour starts with a 2.5-hour scenic drive from Sofia to Banderishka Valley, near the ski town of Bansko. The hike begins at approximately 1,900 meters above sea level and follows a moderate trail through alpine forests and mountain landscapes.
Along the route, you will visit three glacial lakes set in the Banderishki Cirque, surrounded by high peaks. The trail is well suited for those seeking an accessible experience of the natural environment in Pirin.
After the hike, enjoy a lunch break at a mountain hut at around 2,000 meters elevation, offering traditional Bulgarian food. There will be time to rest, photograph the area, and have coffee before returning to Sofia in the late afternoon.
