Description
Visit the Hall of Fame Hristo Stoitchkov, the only place where you can enjoy a permanent exhibition dedicated to Bulgaria’s greatest footballer. Discover key moments from the life and career of the legendary No. 8 as you make your way through the football tunnel at the entrance to the Hall.
Find out when Stoitchkov made his debut for the Bulgarian national team, what number he wore, how he caught the eye of Johan Cruyff, and how he became the only Ballon d’Or winner to have once been banned “for life” from playing the game he loved.
In the “Alley Hristo and Friends”, be welcomed by eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi. Because Stoitchkov has always valued the people who helped him achieve his success, fans can also explore a special section called “The Unforgettables.” It pays tribute to the legendary Trifon Ivanov, Georgi Dimitrov, Ayan Sadakov, Georgi Slavkov, Pelé, Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff, and Gianluca Vialli.
See items connected to current stars, gifts from celebrated athletes, and Bulgarian memorabilia. Olympic champions who have reached the very top of world sport more than once, as well as exceptional world record holders, have left a piece of their sporting legacy with their friend Hristo.
See the “Path of Rise”, featuring authentic kits from every team Stoitchkov represented, as well as football boots marked by the battles they endured on the pitch. The exhibition also includes some of his most valuable individual and team honors — the Ballon d’Or, the European Golden Shoe, the Golden Boot as top scorer at the 1994 FIFA World Cup, Bulgarian and Spanish league titles, the European Cup, and many others.
At 2 Srebarna Street, visitors will not simply read. They will kick a ball, take photos, and test their football knowledge — although some of the attractions for children and adults will remain a surprise.
