Your experience starts with a hotel pickup followed by a scenic drive through Central Bulgaria to the Rose Valley, known worldwide for rose oil production. During the blooming season, walk through fragrant rose gardens and learn how rose oil is produced. If you visit between July and May, when roses are not in bloom, you will visit the Rose Museum instead, which showcases the history and traditional distillation methods.
Visit one of Bulgaria’s oldest traditional distilleries to understand how rose oil, often called “liquid gold,” has been produced for centuries. When available, you can pick rose petals yourself and engage in this local custom.
