Description
Kresna Gorge offers the best river trace for white water rafting in Bulgaria. It is located 120 km from Sofia via the highway, avoiding the dangerous curved road of the gorge, and 40 km from Bansko.
The rafting trip is optimized for convenience. A private secure parking lot is provided at the rafting center for your vehicle. You will receive full rafting equipment and access to changing rooms.
Our rafting guides have many years of experience on local and other rivers, speaking English and Russian.
Safety is a priority. The trip begins after a detailed safety briefing. For thrill-seekers, there is an option for an extreme trip that includes flipping the raft and swimming.
Along the river route, there are deep spots suitable for swimming, and rocks of varying heights for jumping into the water. Rapids vary in profile and difficulty throughout the course.
The longest river track covers 13 km during high water levels. When water is lower, runs of 10 km or 8 km are available depending on the river conditions. The total tour duration is 3 to 3.5 hours.
Equipment provided includes a neoprene suit, neoprene shoes, jacket, PFD, and helmet.
You should bring a towel and flip-flops for the showers after the trip, a bathing suit or shorts to wear under the neoprene suit, a t-shirt or thermal shirt for cooler weather, and sandals suitable for entering the river in summer.
After the rafting trip, a transfer is organized to return passengers, the boat, and equipment to the rafting center.
