Starosel is a hotel and spa complex located about an hour drive from Plovdiv and less than 2 hours drive from Sofia. The area is a well-known wine-growing region and local wines have their loyal fans both at home and abroad. The complex specializes in wine tours and offers touring of the vineyards, wine tasting events, comfortable accommodation and various spa treatments, some of which involve ancient and modern wine therapies. The warm mineral water in the swimming pool is excellent for relaxation. The rooms at the hotel are large and spacious, equipped with all the modern amenities. They have unique solid wood head boards and shelves, traditional hand-made carpets and throw-overs. The restaurant serves typical Bulgarian dishes cooked with fresh ingredients most of which local produce.
