Arkan Han Hotel is situated in the nice village of Trigrad at the very heart of the Rhodope Mountains, some 220 km southeast of Sofia and 120 km away from Plovdiv, far from all the noise and traffic of the big city. Its close proximity to some of the Rhodope Mountains' most precious natural landmarks, such as the Trigradsko Zhdrelo (Gorge), the Devil's Throat Cave and Yagodinska Cave, for instance, makes the hotel perfect for adventurous souls and nature lovers, but the quiet, relaxing atmosphere it offers also attracts many peace-and-calm-seeking families, couples and groups of friends.

From an architectural point of view, Arkan Han Hotel is a real masterpiece. It is designed as a traditional 18th-century Bulgarian mansion with whitewashed facades, stone walls, wooden balconies and massive doors. In summer, the hotel's bar hosts many rock and jazz gigs as well as traditional Bulgarian bagpipe concerts (that's one of the symbols of the Rhodope Mountains, after all) whose one and only goal is to give guests a real good time. In addition to that, Arkan Han Hotel also has a spacious conference hall that is excellent for business meetings, seminars and exhibitions. When the work is done and if the weather outside is cold or the lawn is wet, it easily converts into a comfortable yoga studio with plenty of natural light to facilitate successful yoga practices.

However, we personally consider the amazing equestrian centre of the hotel to be its biggest highlight. It can be found right next to Samar Bar and there people can acquire useful information about equestrianism from professional instructors, learn how to saddle and ride a horse or just improve on their horse riding skills and learn some new fun tricks.

Apart from all the live music shows and horse riding activities, Arkan Han Hotel also organises a whole bunch of other events and happenings for guests to enjoy, including weddings, birthday parties, team-building and corporate events and many more.
